atynews.com – Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated North Korea on North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un through telegram messages.

Reporting from Sputnik, Monday (09/10/2018), Putin used an acronym from North Korea’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Putin congratulated him on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country and praised the nature of the relationship between the two countries.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK, and I note with pleasure the friendly nature of the existing relations between the Russian Federation and the DPRK,” Putin’s message said.

In his message, Putin also expressed his belief that Moscow and Pyongyang would jointly ensure the further expansion of bilateral dialogue and constructive cooperation in various fields.

“This fully fulfills the interests of the people of our two countries, strengthens stability and security on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia as a whole,” Putin said.

On Sunday, North Korea held a large military march in Pyongyang to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the country’s founding.

Russia was represented by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko. During a meeting with Kim Jong-un on Saturday, he delivered to him a personal message from President Putin.
