atynews.com – India claims it will soon have 272 units of Su-30MKI fighter aircraft which are technically better than Russia’s because they use Western-made avionics systems.
Reporting from the India Times, Monday (08/20/2018), This was stated by the Indian Air Force Chief of Staff, Marshal BS Dhanoa in a statement.
According to him, the Indian Air Force in total has ordered 272 units of Su-30MKI fighter jets, most of which have been handed over to the Indian Air Force, and the total order will be completed by 2021.
With that amount, 13 Su-30MKI squadrons which will start operating in 2021 will be considered sufficient.
In addition, the Indian Air Force will also receive 40 Tkas Mk1 units. This fighter jet is informally made by an Indian child.
This certainly surprised some big countries such as the United States (US) and Russia.
If later all units of combat aircraft are complete, India will have very adequate air weapons in Asia.
This is inseparable from the commitment of the Indian Government which continues to support its military equipment. Both domestically made and procured from Russia, the US and Europe.
