Pakistani Election Campaign Bombed, 14 Killed Including Politicians

Bomb attacks took place in the northwestern city of Peshawar on Tuesday. According to police, prominent politician Haroon Bilour, was killed by the attack.

The report said, Unknown this event is an event from the Awami National Party (ANP). 65 people were also reportedly injured in the incident.

Bilour is ANP’s leading legislative candidate and politician who will compete in the upcoming July 25 election. His father, Bashir Bilour, is also an ANP politician killed by a suicide bomber in 2012.

Until Wednesday (11/07/2018) there is no party or group that claimed responsibility for the bomb attack.

The bombing came hours after Pakistan’s military warned of security threats ahead of the election.
