Netherlands Will Help Indonesia Fight Terrorism

Reported by Sindo News, Tuesday (3/7/2018), Stef Blok paid a state visit to Indonesia and met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in Jakarta.

The Blok said the Netherlands and Indonesia will work very closely on security issues.

He also expressed his condolences for the recent terror events in Indonesia.

“We will work very closely on security issues and recently Indonesia has been hit by terrible terror, I express my deep sorrow to Foreign Minister Retno and the Indonesian people,” he said.

He said terrorism problems in Indonesia and the Netherlands had the same core problem, therefore he hoped that cooperation with Indonesia could result.

“When we talk about the fight against terrorism, we face the same challenges, like those who return from Syria and Iraq, the growing extremism in the country as it did in Surabaya,” he continued.
