atynews.com – Russian President Vladimir Putin claims that his country’s nuclear weapons are far ahead of other countries.

Quoted from ABC, Friday (29/06/2018), Putin said in a statement in front of the graduates of the Russian military academy.

“Some of our weapons systems have been for years, and probably, several decades before foreign analogues,” Putin said.

He also added that Russia’s modren weapons contribute greatly to its military progress.

“Modern weapons contribute to a double increase in Russian military potential,” he said.

This statement also occurred before the NATO Summit in the UK to be held next month. In the summit, both the Russian and US parties have also confirmed that the two heads of state will meet.

Putin also praised the scientists who have contributed to supporting Russia’s advanced weapons.

“We have achieved a real breakthrough thanks to a colossal effort by science as well as design and industry bureaus, a real achievement by workers, engineers and scientists,” Putin said.
