US Captures A Smuggled Man of Anti-Submarine War Devices

Photo: Reuters – A man of Chinese descent is rumored to have been arrested by the United States government on Thursday for allegedly smuggling an anti-submarine warfare device for the Beijing military.

Quoted from Fox, Saturday (23/06/2018), The man is known named Shuren Qin (41) is now in demand in the Federal prison of Boston.

The local prosecutor said that from 2015 to 2016, Qin exported 78 hydrophones, a device that can be used to monitor underwater sounds, to Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), a Chinese military research institute.

Qin is also reportedly attempting to illegally smuggle devices into China and hide from US hydrophones suppliers that NWPU is the entity that will receive the product.

The Chinese government is said to have known about this arrest and did not respond to anything about the allegations made by the US government.

Some of the entities or companies reported to conspire with Qin are LinkOcean Technologies. According to court documents, some Qin clients include the Chinese research institute and the Navy’s branch of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA-N).
