AS-Turkey Agree to Form Cooperation for Manbij Syria

21 – US-Turkey reportedly has agreed to form a working group to deal with the problem in Manbij Syria.

“The two sides outlined the main contours of the roadmap for their further cooperation in ensuring security and stability in Manbij,” said a joint statement written on the tweet of the US embassy in Turkey, Sputniknews, 26 May 2018.

Reportedly the final decision between the two countries will be decided on 4 June by each of their foreign ministers.

This formation is based on the meeting of the two foreign ministers of Turkey, Cavusoglu and also US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson who met in February, March and April.

It is reported that there are at least 2,000 US troops in Manbij. Turkey claims the purpose of military operations to secure its border with Syria from the US-backed YPG militia.
